ABOUT THE MAKING OF THIS SONG:
In many ways “Everyday People (F*** The Radio)” is like my 2009 f-bomb laced take on “Video Killed The Radio Star by The Buggles.” I never intended it to be. It just happened that way. Either way this song was ALOT of fun to make in the studio. It’s filled with references to the current economic situation we’re in world wide, the transitioning new business model, and what I think counts most in life. This song definitely shows the satirical, sarcastic, laugh at me, laugh with me, it doesn’t matter side…something that was missing from the “Club Lights, Camera Nights, Attraction EP.”
My good friend Tampasolar hooked up the collaboration between myself and “THE DUKE” aka “Duke Mushroom.” If you don’t know the name, there’s a good chance you’ve heard one of his many contributions to the music/movie world. We collaborated on the arranging and production of the main, “Duke Mushroom Edit” of the song. Here’s a little bit more info:
Duke Mushroom is a Platinum Selling Producer, Writer, and versitile musician. Duke has written and produced with artists as varied as the Baha Men, Carole King, Cooler Kids, Nile Rogers and Chic, Donna Summer, Cyndi Lauper, and Micheal Tolcher, before recording his groundbreaking foray into Global Sound, “BOLE 2 HARLEM.” As one-half of the production team PopRox, he remixed tracks for Method Man, Montell Jordan, Sisqo, DMX and Bob Marley among others. Besides being one of the original performing Cast members of Stomp, his percussion credits include Gloria Estefan, Janet and Michael Jackson, Die Warsaw, and Cher, as well as playing on over 50 other records for the likes of Roger S, Tony Moran, Masters at Work, Static Revenger, and Erick Morillo. He has also scored several films, including “Accepted,” as well as the 2008 IDA winning Documentary, “A Walk To Beautiful”. His songs and productions have been licensed in over 40 Films and TV shows as well as numerous Commercials.

*DISCLAIMER* So like I was telling a friend, who said they just listened to the track for the 5th time in a row; if by chance you start singing or saying “F*** The Radio” out loud in an inappropriate place because it’s stuck in your head, I can’t be held liable or responsible?
SHOUT OUTS: The Duke! Tampasolar! D.Fahie for helping me with the mixing! Stefan K. for the cover art, wallpaper and icons (which you can find on the “Extras” page on the navigation bar above)! YOU!

Well this is it, the official website re-launch with a fresh new look and most importantly ALOT of new music coming soon. To kickoff the re-launch I promised all of you a free copy of the EP a few days ago if we hit 350 members on my Facebook group. It’s at 400 as I’m writing this, so we totally smashed it. Alot of you are well aware of the changes in the “music business”; the downloading, viral internet marketing, cd sales plummeting blah blah blah…which is why I’ve decided to go out on a limb, switch up the business model and try something just a little bit different. Trust me, your ipods, cars, computers, phones and most importantly YOU the people who keep me going musically, will benefit most from it.
More details to come. The first blog post of many to come…
